Toby's Estate - Flat White

When I had first heard a new coffee shop was opening up 2 blocks from the always-a-line-out-the-door Blue Bottle, my first thought was "Are you out of your goddamned minds?"

That being said, Toby's Estate looks to be doing quite well. Maybe it's that coffee shops in Williamsburg can do no wrong... maybe it's just a lovely coffee shop.
Toby's roasts their coffee on site (right out in the open, so if awesome shiny machines that-do-stuff is your thing...), and they clearly care about ethical and environmental responsibility. I can't taste ethical, but I get a hell of a piece of mind.

Since these guys are from Australia, I reckoned I needed to order a Flat White. And I did. And it was delightful. I have absolutely no idea, the difference between a flat white and cappuccino. I'm like 90% sure there isn't one, but I'm ok with that. I suddenly feel like I've experienced more of the world.
