I surprise myself with how little I know about coffee. I love the process, temperature control, weighing every little bit, concerning myself with roast dates, milk texture, extraction time... I pretty much can't tell the difference between mediocre and spectacular. I'm ok with that. The culture, the care, the support for farmers that do things right... that's important to me.
Anyway, I was bored and wanted to shoot. These beans are from Cafe Grumpy, roasted in Brooklyn. A pleasant little coffee shop, on quiet corner Greenpoint (other locations in Park Slope, Chelsea, and LES).
If the color/texture of the espresso is wrong, it's not their fault, it's because I don't know what I'm doing. They're wonderful, really.
